What post-operative care is necessary after secondary rhinoplasty?
In the first few days after the operation, it is recommended to avoid smoking, be careful when putting on glasses, and refrain from using contact lenses until your doctor advises otherwise. You should also avoid alcohol consumption, strenuous activities, or those that involve physical contact, and try to speak and make facial expressions as little as possible.
The recovery process is similar to that of the initial surgery, except for the additional wounds from obtaining cartilage from areas outside the nose. Healing is typically slower, and results may not be fully visible until a few months later.
